That last one matters. An opener straining to lift the door is very often a spring problem in disguise, not an opener problem. We check the whole system first, so you don't pay to fix the wrong part.

Our rule of thumb: under 10 years old, repair it, since gears, sensors, remotes and logic boards are all serviceable. Past 12 to 15 years, replacement usually makes more sense. You get current safety standards, rolling-code security (the old fixed-code remotes can be cloned by anyone with the right gadget), phone control and a fresh warranty. Why does my garage door reverse before it closes?
Nine times out of ten it’s the safety sensors, either misaligned, dirty or catching direct sunlight, or else the force setting is too sensitive. Both are quick fixes. If it only happens in cold weather, stiff rollers and tracks are probably tripping the force limit, and a tune-up sorts that out.
Can you install an opener I bought myself?
Yes, we install customer-supplied openers. That said, once you factor in warranty and getting the sizing right, our supplied-and-installed packages usually land in the same range. Either way the installation includes safety-reversal testing and programming of your remotes and keypad.
What smart openers do you recommend?
For most GTA homes, a belt-drive Wi-Fi model with battery backup. It’s quiet enough for an attached garage and keeps working when the power doesn’t. We match the horsepower to your actual door, since an oversized double or a heavy insulated door needs more than the base model.
My remote works but the keypad doesn’t (or vice versa). Can that be fixed?
Almost always. It’s usually programming or a battery, occasionally a worn-out keypad. We reprogram remotes, keypads and in-car HomeLink as part of any opener visit.
